Bara Badwan, Ph.D. is a Lead Data Scientist at Patient Square Capital, where he applies artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics to support investment research and strategic decision-making across health care and life sciences. Dr. Badwan’s work focuses on translating complex scientific, clinical, and market data into actionable insights, with particular emphasis on therapeutics, clinical development, and emerging technologies.
Prior to joining Patient Square, Dr. Badwan worked at the intersection of biotechnology, predictive analytics, and investment intelligence. He developed machine learning systems to assess clinical trial probability of success, therapeutic asset value, and innovation trends across the biopharma landscape. His experience also includes leading the development of AI-enabled tools and data platforms spanning natural language processing, portfolio analytics, and scientific decision support.
Dr. Badwan earned his Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from Yale University, where his research focused on learning, neural systems, and quantitative modeling of biological intelligence. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
